ALL OUR DENTAL TREATMENTS
We offer a wide range of dental treatments to cater to your needs:
- Bleaching A cosmetic dental procedure that uses chemical agents (usually peroxide-based) to lighten the natural color of teeth, reducing stains and discoloration. Also known as Teeth Whitening.
- Ceramic Fillings Tooth-colored restorations made from dental ceramic material used to repair cavities. They offer excellent aesthetics and durability, often fabricated indirectly (like inlays/onlays).
- Ceramic Inlays Custom-made ceramic restorations created in a dental lab and then cemented into a prepared tooth cavity. They fit within the cusps (bumps) of the tooth's chewing surface and are known for aesthetics and strength.
- Composite Fillings Tooth-colored fillings made from a resin material that is applied directly to the tooth in layers and hardened using a special light. Used to repair cavities and minor cosmetic defects.
- Composite Inlays Similar to ceramic inlays but made from composite resin material. They are fabricated indirectly (outside the mouth) and then bonded into the prepared tooth.
- Dental Bonding A cosmetic procedure where tooth-colored composite resin is applied, sculpted, and hardened onto a tooth's surface to repair chips, close gaps, cover stains, or alter shape.
- Dental Bridges A fixed prosthetic device used to replace one or more missing teeth by attaching an artificial tooth (or teeth) to adjacent natural teeth or implants, which often serve as anchors (abutments).
- Dental Check-up A routine appointment with a dentist or hygienist that typically includes a visual examination of the mouth, professional cleaning (prophylaxis), and sometimes X-rays to monitor oral health and detect problems early.
- Dental Crowns Tooth-shaped caps placed over damaged, decayed, or weakened teeth (or dental implants) to restore their shape, size, strength, and appearance. Also called Tooth Caps.
- Dental Examination The component of a dental visit where the dentist inspects the teeth, gums, tongue, and other oral tissues for signs of decay, gum disease, oral cancer, or other abnormalities.
- Dental Extractions The professional removal of a tooth from its socket in the jawbone. Reasons include severe decay, damage, infection, crowding, or problematic wisdom teeth. Also known as Teeth Removal or Tooth Extraction.
- Dentures Removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They can be complete (replacing all teeth in an arch) or partial (replacing some missing teeth).
- Fillings A general term for materials used to restore tooth structure lost due to decay (cavities) or trauma. Can be made of composite resin, amalgam, gold, or ceramic.
- Gingivitis The early, reversible stage of gum disease characterized by red, swollen, and bleeding gums, caused primarily by plaque buildup.
- Gold Fillings Dental restorations made from gold alloy, known for their exceptional durability and longevity, used to fill cavities. Can be placed directly or fabricated indirectly (inlays/onlays).
- Gold Inlays Custom-made restorations fabricated from gold alloy in a lab and cemented into a prepared tooth cavity, fitting within the tooth cusps. Valued for durability.
- Gum Lifts A cosmetic dental procedure (also called gingivectomy or aesthetic crown lengthening) that involves surgically reshaping the gum line to improve the appearance of the smile, often by removing excess gum tissue.
- Gum Surgery Surgical procedures performed on the gums and underlying bone to treat advanced gum disease (periodontitis), regenerate lost tissue, correct gum recession, or improve aesthetics. See also Periodontal Surgery.
- Gum Treatments A broad term for various non-surgical and surgical therapies aimed at preventing, managing, or treating diseases affecting the gums, such as gingivitis and periodontitis. See also Periodontal Therapy.
- Implants Artificial tooth roots, usually made of titanium, that are surgically placed into the jawbone to provide a stable foundation for replacement teeth like crowns, bridges, or implant-supported dentures.
- Inlays Custom-made restorations (gold, ceramic, or composite) fabricated outside the mouth and cemented into a prepared tooth cavity, fitting *within* the cusps on the chewing surface.
- Periodontal Surgery Surgical interventions specifically designed to treat moderate to severe periodontitis by accessing deep pockets, removing diseased tissue, reshaping bone, or performing tissue grafts.
- Periodontal Therapy A range of treatments focused on controlling gum disease (periodontitis), including non-surgical deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) and potentially surgical procedures.
- Periodontitis An advanced stage of gum disease involving inflammation and infection that destroys the tissues and bone supporting the teeth, potentially leading to tooth loss.
- Professional Teeth Cleaning A routine procedure performed by a dentist or dental hygienist to remove plaque, tartar (calculus), and surface stains from the teeth, helping to prevent cavities and gum disease. Also known as Prophylaxis.
- Prophylaxis A preventive dental treatment involving the thorough cleaning of teeth to remove plaque and tartar build-up, aimed at preventing gingivitis and periodontitis. Often synonymous with Professional Teeth Cleaning.
- Root Canal Surgery Typically refers to an apicoectomy, a surgical procedure performed on the tip of a tooth's root to remove infected tissue and seal the root end, usually when conventional root canal therapy is insufficient.
- Root Canal Therapy A procedure to treat infection or inflammation within the tooth's pulp (nerve). It involves removing the damaged pulp, cleaning and disinfecting the internal canals, and sealing them to save the tooth.
- Sealants Thin, protective plastic coatings applied to the chewing surfaces (pits and fissures) of back teeth (molars and premolars) to prevent tooth decay by sealing out food particles and bacteria.
- Second Opinion Seeking evaluation and advice from another dental professional regarding a diagnosis or recommended treatment plan provided by a previous dentist.
- Teeth Removal The act or process of extracting teeth. Synonymous with Dental Extractions and Tooth Extraction.
- Teeth Repair A general term encompassing various dental procedures like fillings, bonding, crowns, or veneers used to restore the function or appearance of damaged or decayed teeth.
- Teeth Whitening Cosmetic treatment to lighten the shade of teeth and remove stains, often using peroxide-based products. Synonymous with Bleaching.
- Tooth Caps A common term for Dental Crowns – protective caps covering the entire visible surface of a tooth.
- Tooth Extraction The removal of a tooth from the mouth. Synonymous with Dental Extractions and Teeth Removal.
- Veneers Thin, custom-made shells, typically made of porcelain or composite resin, bonded to the front surface of teeth to improve aesthetics by correcting color, shape, size, or minor alignment issues.
- Wisdom Teeth Removal The surgical extraction of the third molars (wisdom teeth), often performed due to impaction, pain, infection, damage to adjacent teeth, or crowding.
